Overview
This 4 Nights / 5 Days adventure begins from Manali and takes you through the dramatic landscapes of Lahaul Valley towards remote Zanskar. Explore Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, Sissu, Keylong, Jispa and Baralacha La, followed by the spectacular Shinku La route into Zanskar. Continue towards Gonbo Rangjon, Kargyak, Purne and Padum before returning towards Manali. The Zanskar section requires suitable road conditions and an experienced mountain driver.
LAHAUL VALLEY ROAD JOURNEY After breakfast, meet our driver in Manali and begin your journey towards the spectacular Lahaul Valley. Drive through Solang Valley and continue towards the Atal Tunnel, one of the major highlights of the route. After crossing the tunnel, enter the beautiful landscapes of Lahaul and visit Sissu. Continue towards Keylong, enjoying views of the mountains and Bhaga Valley, and then proceed to Jispa, a peaceful Himalayan settlement surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. On arrival, check in to your hotel/camp and relax after the journey. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/camp in Jispa.
HIGH-ALTITUDE PASS EXPLORATION After breakfast, begin your excursion from Jispa towards the high-altitude landscapes beyond Darcha. Continue towards Baralacha La while enjoying the rugged Himalayan scenery. En route, visit the scenic Deepak Tal and Suraj Tal, followed by Baralacha La, one of the spectacular high mountain passes of the region. Spend some time taking photographs and enjoying the dramatic surroundings before beginning the return journey towards Jispa. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/camp in Jispa.
REMOTE HIMALAYAN ADVENTURE After breakfast, check out from your stay in Jispa and drive towards Darcha before continuing towards the remote Zanskar region. Cross the spectacular Shinku La and continue through rugged mountain terrain towards Zanskar. Enjoy the dramatic landscapes around Gonbo Rangjon, one of the most striking natural landmarks of the region. Due to the remote nature of the route, the overnight accommodation will be arranged around the Gonbo Rangjon, Kargyak or Purne area depending on road accessibility and local conditions. Dinner and overnight stay at the available accommodation/camp around Gonbo Rangjon, Kargyak or Purne.
ZANSKAR VALLEY EXPLORATION After breakfast, continue your journey deeper into the spectacular Zanskar Valley. Drive through Kargyak and Purne, enjoying the remote villages, mountain landscapes and dramatic valleys along the route. Continue towards Padum, the main town and an important centre of the Zanskar region. On arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax. Explore the nearby surroundings if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Padum.
LONG HIMALAYAN RETURN JOURNEY After an early breakfast, begin the return journey from Padum through Purne, Kargyak and Gonbo Rangjon. Continue towards Shinku La and descend towards Darcha before proceeding through Jispa and Keylong. Continue towards Sissu and cross the Atal Tunnel before reaching Solang Valley and Manali. The day involves a very long high-altitude road journey and is subject to road conditions, weather, local accessibility and travel regulations. On arrival in Manali, the tour concludes with drop-off at your preferred location. Tour ends with memorable Himalayan experiences.
